Vijay, Atlee and the Theri cast and crew are currently busy shooting for an underwater stunt sequence. A source from the sets was quoted as saying,” t is a crucial underwater stunt sequence, which has been choreographed by Dhilip Subbarayan. The shooting of the film is almost over with just a song and a few portions of climax left. A grand set has been erected on the outskirts of the city for a song sequence, which will be shot with Amy and Vijay soon.” The shooting schedule is progressing at a break-neck pace and with the completion of the unique stunt scene, the project is almost nearing completion and will soon enter post-production.Other than the Kollywood star, actresses Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Amy Jackson also playing leads. The Makers of "Theri", which was formerly known as "Vijay 59", seem to be leaving no stone unturned when it comes to quality, as is from the roping-in of a Hollywood stunt director to choreograph the climactic scene in the Tamil flick.
Kaloyan Vodenicharov, who has worked on international films like "Troy" and "Mission Impossible – Rogue Nation ", has been roped in to direct the climatic action sequence in "Theri". The news has been confirmed by director Atlee Kumar himself.
Kaloyan will direct only the climactic stunt sequences. We will be shooting with him in a few days. Actually, many Hollywood stunt-performers will be involved in the extensive stunt portions of the climax," the director told the Times of India.
Kaloyan Vodenicharov had recently worked on the blockbuster "Baahubali", and is currently teamed up with Shah Rukh Khan's Bollywood movie "Dilwale". Other action sequences in "Theri" have been directed by Dilip Subbarayan.
"Theri" is expected to be a mass-entertainer even though it is a cop movie. Even before they agreed to work, Vijay had stressed on making a family entertainer instead of just targeting the mass audience.
It Is Officially confirmed that Vijay 59th film is Named Theri. Lately there has been a 'title' game going on between Ajith and Vijay. Ajith's last film was named 'Vedalam', and coincidentally the villains of Vijay's 58th film Puli were called Vedalam. Now, the word 'Theri' (loosely translated as blast), Which was extensively used in Ajith's Vedalam, has become the title of Vijay's next film.
The director of the film Atlee took to Twitter to share the title of the film. Atlee also shared the first look posters of the film in the micro blogging site. A hashtag #Theri started trending on Twitter minutes after the title was announced.
Vijay's highly anticipated fantasy-adventure drama, Puli was slated to release worldwide today. The movie is facing license issues; which resulted in the delay. Book Your Tickets Right Away! The license issue is a result of the income tax raids which were held in the residences of the team members, including Vijay and director Chimbudevan and the producers Shibu Thameens and PT Selva Kumar. The team members immediately paid the income tax money; but the license has not been allowed yet. The news hasn't gone well will the Vijay fans of Kerala, who were eagerly waiting to watch the movie. According to the reports, the highly upset Vijay fans have attacked the theatres in Trivandrum city. Opening show of Puli will start by 12 pm today, in all the major releasing centres of Kerala. Puli is a highly ambitious project for lead actor Vijay and director Chimbudevan. The movie marks the comeback of veteran actress Sridevi into Tamil cinema, after a very long hiatus. Kannada actor Sudeep plays the antagonist.
Preparations for a grand release of his upcoming film ‘Puli’ actor Vijay is busy shooting for his 59th film directed by Atlee.
According to sources close to the unit 40% of the film has been canned so far. The film went on floors in July first week and the first schedule was completed in Chennai. After this the team has recently shot some important scenes in ECR. The second schedule will be wrapped up soon.
The source reports that ‘Vijay 59’ cast and crew will be packing up their bags for Goa next month for the third schedule of shooting and the locations are being finalized now. After this director Atlee has planned to shoot a duet song in green locales of China.
‘Ilayathalapathy’ Vijay plays a cop in this film and it is being rumored that the team is planning to have ‘Moondru Mugam’ as the title. The 1982 super hit film of Superstar Rajinikanth came with the same title. However, there is no official confirmation on the title
Vijay's adventure fantasy film, 'Puli', directed by Chimbudevan, is gearing up for a release in September and the team is very confident that the film will set the cash registers ringing at the box-office.
A poster has been released by the team wishing Sridevi a very happy birthday. They announced that the trailer will be released on August 20th. Shruti Haasan and Hansika are the leading ladies in this film, which has Sridevi, Sudeep, Prabhu etc playing important roles. Devi Sri Prasad is the music director.
